My Country / My Motherland

I am a Nepali as Nepal is my motherland. It is a small but beautiful country. It is a landlocked country with a total area of 147,181 km². It lies between two large countries China & India. It borders China to the north and India to the east, west and south. It is divided into three geographical regions –Himalayan, Hilly and Terai extending from north to south and five development regions –Eastern, Central, Western, Mid-Western and  Far-Western extending from east to west. It has 14 zones and 75 districts. The capital of my country is Kathmandu which lies in the Central Development Region. Nepal has an unique identity of having the highest peak - Mt. Everest, the highest altitude lake - Tilicho and many more of such kind. It has been decorated with the snowy mountains, green forests, ever flowing rivers and courteous countrymen. I have a great pride of being a citizen of such a lovely country.
