Banke
Game is considered as an important tool to break the gender based stereotypes between the men and women. So friendly football was organized in Banke by Youth Initiative on 25th November 2015.The game took the participants through the journey of understanding barrier women felt while participating in development process and then establishing a notion that there should be collaboration between them.
The Game boosted confidence among female participants and there was huge break in the stereotypical thought among male that women are not capable to take part professional workforce or development process. At the end participants did reflection of program and committed to not demonstrating gender based discrimination in future life. They also committed to be as champions for the activism against GBV. 11 females and 11 males took part in that game. Ms. Bindu Kuwar (Focal Person of Women and Children Office Banke), Mr. Ghanashyam Barma (Representative of District Development Office Banke), Mr. Dipak G. M (President of District Sports Development Committee ) and Ms. Sarita Bartaula ( President of Youth Initiative) jointly inaugurated the opening ceremony of that campaign.
