Dialogue to stop addiction

Interaction has been held with the youth of rural areas in Nepalgunj on Sunday to control the rapidly increasing drug addiction.

In recent days, the use of city-centric drugs has started to spread to the rural level as well.
About 40 youths from 10 VDCs of the district were brought together in Nepalgunj in a joint partnership of District Youth Club Network Banke and Youth Campaign to create awareness about the increasing use of drugs, its impact on individuals and society and control measures.

In that course, the participating youths stressed on the need for all the youths to unite for the reduction of drugs. Former drug addict Abhiraj Chhetri presented his views on the current state of drug use and the efforts being made to control it.

Ashish Verma of District Youth Club Network, Bamdev Pokhrel, District Program Coordinator of Youth Campaign Banke, Hemraj Bhatt, General Secretary of District Youth Club Network Banke and Rajan Verma spoke at the program.
